🍯 CREAMY HONEY POLENTA🍯

This is one of my favourite quick hearty midnight meals.
Full of flavour, sweet, savoury and warms you up inside~
Plus it can literally be done in just 5 minutes!


First, let’s start with a bit of produce knowledge :

There are in fact different kinds of corn grits that are used for Polenta.

What you usually find in stores is fine one and grainy one.
The fine one cooks faster and is way finer and smoother in texture and the grainy one needs longer and cooks more firmly.

For this recipe I really recommend using the fine one, it may be labeled as “Fix Polenta” or “Fine Polenta” in stores.

But, of course, you can also try it with grainy one and see what you prefer! Just keep in mind that grainy one needs a longer cooking time.


Ingredients for one Person :

50 ml Milk
50 ml Heavy Cream
100 ml Water
50g Butter
1 tsp Honey

33g fine Corn Grits

Salt, Pepper, Nutmeg


Method :

  1. Mix together your Liquids, Butter, Honey and Spices in a pot and bring to a boil.
  2. Add your Grits and whisk continously.
  3. Please be careful since it starts bubbling when it boils!!
    Cook till desired thickness and serve~

    Additionally - You can also add vegetables right into the polenta or on the side, add herbs to make herb polenta or such.

    If you made to much you can easly store it in your fridge and revive it by boiling a bit of milk and whisking your polenta in.
